This path is located at The Ridges in Door County. In 1937, The Ridges Sanctuary became Wisconsin’s first land trust. For 80 years it has been an integral part of the rich, natural setting of the Baileys Harbor community and the Door County Peninsula.
Description of Process:
I take my original photography and by hand create a unique piece of photography art like no other. First I make a laser jet print in reverse. I then brush a transfer gel medium on the surface of the image. The image is glued face down on to pine wood. Once dry, I get the surface wet and rub the paper away. After several sessions, the paper is removed revealing the ink from the original printout. I then sand the pine wood by hand, some stain is applied to the border around the picture. Finally I apply UV protection and a matte finish. Each piece comes with a d ring installed so the art is ready to hang.
Size: 5.25"x7.25" (approximately)
Each finished piece is truly unique due to the grain in the wood and the manual nature of the process, ensuring that no two versions of an image will ever be exactly the same. Pieces will vary slightly from the images shown.
Finished artwork is intended for indoor display and is not weather resistant.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Due to the unique, manual process, there are no returns or refunds once payment has processed.
